Once everyone has introduced themselves, this game gives the group a playful second chance to practise the names.

At a glance
- Time: 10–20 minutes
- Group: 5 or more
- Setting: Indoors or outdoors
What you need
One large name card per person.
How to play
- Stand or sit in a circle with each person’s name card visible.
- Allow one quiet minute to look around and connect names with faces.
- Collect the cards, shuffle them and give one to each player.
- At the signal, players locate the owner of their card by talking and checking pronunciation. Repeat with a quicker round if the group wants another try.
Keep it comfortable
There is no elimination and nobody is pushed into the centre. If a name is forgotten, asking politely is part of the game.
Try this variation
In a seated group, one person holds up a card and the group points or gives a verbal clue.
What children practise
Remembering improves through retrieval and repetition, but the cooperative format keeps mistakes low pressure.
