Description: Let’s Talk is a workshop that will focus on skills that every pre-teen and teen should acquire in order to lead a fun and healthy life. Since conversations are dwindling, adolescents find themselves with nobody who they can ask their questions to which are generally left out of polite conversations. Sometimes they ask but parents are often confused about how to answer these questions and how to take the conversation forward. These could be conversations on something very serious like sexuality, bullying, anxiety, gender or on something that happens on a daily basis like a fight between siblings, disagreement with parents or too much screen time.
Workshop for 10-14 years old
In this workshop, we will focus on storytelling, video content available on popular media and theatre games and activities through which we will explore questions and find answers to those questions together. We will essentially explore healthy conversations in a fun way. The topics around which the workshop is designed includes:
1) Body image and whether it matters
2) An empathetic approach to life
3) Gender and issues around it that worry an adolescent
4) Sexuality and the mystery around it
Please note that the topics chosen for discussion/ work during the workshop will be based on the comfort level of the participants. If anyone or all of the participants feel overwhelmed or anxious about any particular topic, the venue and the facilitator reserves the right to choose another topic from the above-mentioned list or a completely new topic to work with the participants.
Participation Fee: INR 3,000
